Gladys E. Davis of New Hope died peacefully on Monday, August 13, 2012, at Clare Bridge of Dublin. She was 73.

She was the beloved wife of Richard E. Davis for 44 years.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Catherine Dolschek Deubel.

Mrs. Davis was a resident of New Hope for one year and formerly lived in Richboro for 40 years. She graduated from Dobbins High School in Philadelphia, Class of 1956. Before retiring in 2001, Gladys was employed as an administrative assistant for Bucks County for 15 years. She always enjoyed vacationing at the beach. Family was important to her and she cherished the special times spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Richard E. Davis Jr. and his wife, Elena, of Flemington, NJ and Scott R. Davis and his wife, Heidi, of Spinnerstown, PA. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, two nieces, Suzanne Muller and Lisa Deubel, and one nephew, Adam Deubel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday, August 20, 2012, from 9:00 AM until her Funeral Service 11:00 AM at St. John United Methodist Church, 820 Almshouse Road, Ivyland, PA 18974. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Bucks County SPCA, P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
