On June 24, 2012, our beloved Helen Poludnikiewicz Mullen lost her fight and the world lost one of the greatest, most magnificent beings in creation. Helen was elegant and poised. She was as breathtakingly beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Selfless, giving, caring and kind, she put everyone before herself and did so with no expectation of anything in return.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Mullen and much loved mother of Patrick, Joseph, and Katherine (James McKenna). She was the grandmother to Raymond, Joseph, Neil and Lilliana. She also leaves behind her devoted brother, Joseph, and her devoted sisters, Jane and Stella.
Always in our hearts and memories, we know that Helen will always be there to watch over us, to protect us, and to direct us.
Our warrior may have lost her fight but she did so with dignity, integrity and grace.
Her funeral service and interment will be held privately.

I was so sorry to hear about your mother's passing, Katherine. I hope you get this message. She was a wonderful person and a favorite memory of mine in our beloved childhood.
