Leon F. Robus of Holland Pa. died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Holy Redeemer Hospice in Meadowbrook. He was 97.

Leon was the beloved husband of the late Janet Karpinski Robus.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Ludwig and Mary Robus and brother of the late Helen Stemkowski and the late Agnes Schoendorf.

Leon was a former resident of Merrick, New York before moving to Holland Pa. in 1977. He was a Payroll System Specialist with Allied Trimmings in New York, New York for over thirty years until his retirement. Leon was an avid New York baseball fan beginning with the original Brooklyn Dodgers and eventually came to follow the New York Mets and the Yankees. He was a longtime member of the Church of St. Andrew in Newtown, Pa. and in his leisure enjoyed gardening and quality time spent with his loving family. Leon will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

Leon is survived by his children, Leona N. D'Angelo and her husband Robert of Quakertown, Mary Janet Robus of Philadelphia and Robert Robus and his wife Jody of Islip, NY. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Stacy Robus, Jennifer Schmatz, Jessica D'Angelo Kucharski, Sara Taylor and Adam Robus and his four great grandchildren, Colin and Emily Schmatz and Owen and Ethan Taylor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 9:00 A.M. until his Funeral Mass 10:00A.M.at the Olde Church of St. Andrew, 131 Sycamore St. Newtown, Pa. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. 654 Ferry Rd. Doylestown. Pa. 18901.
