Mabel E. Schreck (nee Markley), formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away on July 8, 2012 at Chandler Hall, Newtown, PA.
She was the beloved wife of the late John T. Schreck, Jr. and mother of the late John R. Schreck.
Born in Middletown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Richard “Harry” and Clara Markley.
Mabel is survived by her daughters, Kathleen E. Dikeos and her husband Peter of Union, KY and Patricia A. Zenner and her husband Peter of Yardley, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren F. Michael Klein, Nicholas J. Dikeos, Melinda S. (nee Schreck), Jennifer L. Zenner and Andrew P. Zenner.
Funeral services and interment will be conducted privately at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

I was sad to read about your mother in the Sunday Patriot News. Your mother was a beautiful, kind, and loving person.
When I was a child she always made me feel welcomed at your family home. Aunt Mabel was a terrific hostess.
It has been 10 years since my last visit with Aunt Mabel. However, I have thought about her often through the years. Aunt Mabel enriched my life and I will miss her.
