Rosemarie Kennedy Correll (Long)

Rosemarie Long Kennedy Correll died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Manor Care in Yardley. She was 88 years old.

Rosemarie was the beloved wife of the late William M. Kennedy and the late Burton Correll. She is the loving grandmother of the late Jake Correll; and sister of the late Thomas Long and George Long.

Born in Mahanoy City, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Philomena Brill Long. Rosemarie attended the Mahanoy Area High School, graduating in 1948. She then attended St. Mary Hospital Nursing School and graduated in 1951. As a registered nurse, her entire career was spent taking care of others. Even in retirement she worked as a school nurse at Pennsbury High School. Rosemarie was an avid sewer and enjoyed quilting and all types of crafts. She was a member of the American Sewing Guild.

Rosemarie will be greatly missed by her children and their spouses, William M. Kennedy and his wife Patti, Sharon R. Burd and her husband David, Brian S. Kennedy and his wife Dani; her step children, William Correll and his wife Sue, James Correll (Kerri), Janet Petrisin (Rob) and John Correll (Tabatha); her grandchildren, William Kennedy, Erin Kennedy, Amanda Burd and Dr. Julia Burd. She is also survived by her step grandchildren, Danielle Altman, Nichole Ruiz, Evyn Petrisin; Ben Correll, Helen Correll, Matthew Correll, Sarah Correll, Kaile Correll; five step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 9:00AM until her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 Bellevue Ave., Langhorne, PA 19047.  Her interment will be held privately.
