Florence J. Mainart (Caplonies)

Florence J. Mainart of Holland died Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at St. Mary Medical Center in Holland. She was 91.

Florence was the beloved wife to the late Leonard C. Mainart, Jr.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Jonas and Caroline Kasmaitis Caplonies and the sister of the late Helen Schivito.

Florence was a former resident of the Rhawnhurst section of Philadelphia before moving to Holland in 2010. In her early years, she had worked in the Philadelphia Naval Ship Yard assisting in building ships during World War II. She eventually worked with Bell Telephone as an operator and later in life as a cashier with Shop Rite in Philadelphia. Florence enjoyed exercising and was an avid walker and was a member of the Social Club at the Resurrection of Our Lord Church in Philadelphia. She will be deeply missed as a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend to all.

Florence is survived by her two sons, Leonard C. Mainart III and his wife Joanne of Holland and Stephen J. Mainart and his wife Florence of Mullica Hill, NJ. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday, October 22nd from 6:00-8:00pm and on Tuesday, October 23rd from 8:30-9:30am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro and to her Funeral Mass 10:00 am in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966. Florence’s interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.

 

 In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 100 N. 20th Street, 4th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
