Richard A. Haurin
Richard A. Haurin passed away peacefully on Monday, December 10, 2018. He was 84.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Suzanne O’Donnell Haurin.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son to the late Richard A. & Stella Grzywna Haurin.
Richard joined the Army in 1954, where he proudly served his country as a Sargent. After leaving the service, he joined his father working at Dodge Steel where he met the love of his life Mary Suzanne O’Donnell. His next and final job was working as a Finance Manager for HFC Corp for 34 years. He was a member of St Vincent De Paul Church from its inception 50 years ago. He was a member of the American Legion and Elks. Richard took great pride in his family and his country. He was a great father and husband who always put others needs first. He enjoyed many wonderful times with his wife Sue traveling and spending time with their family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his loving children; Richard Haurin (Michele), Robert Haurin (Sharon), Allen Haurin, Joseph Haurin (Kimberly), John Haurin (Tara), Martin Haurin (Dawn), and Suzanne Hershkowitz (Drew), as well as his 19 grandchildren, his brother Robert Haurin (Betty) and his two brothers-in-law James O’Donnell (Phyllis) and Charles O’Donnell (Peg). His legacy will live on in his grandchildren: Jack, Maddie, Kristen, Chelsea, Ben, Danny, Sarah, Will, Maya, Kyra, Ava, Bella, Pat, Emma, Nick, Layla, Julia, Charlie, and Christian.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 9:00 am until his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954. His interment will take place on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 2:30PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. Those who are attending are asked to gather at the Cemetery Administration Building by 2:15 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richard’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, 625 W. Ridge Pike, Building A, Suite 100, Conshohocken, PA 19428 or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Judes Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
