Lynn Ann Wielgosz
It is with great sorrow that we share Lynn Ann (Packard) Wielgosz, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 after a courageous battle against a long illness. She recently celebrated her 70th birthday. Born in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy B. and Anna C. Kiesel Packard.
Lynn grew up in Warminster, graduating from William Tennent High School, class of 1971. She also graduated from Bucks County Community College with a degree in Information Technology. She began her career at Prudential Insurance Company in Dresher, PA. In 1980, she moved to Colorado to continue her career and developed a passion for the outdoors. She loved to camp and off-road in her Bronco. Several years later, Lynn returned to the East Coast, taking up residence in the Wilmington, DE area. She continued to work in the IT field at several companies, with her latest position being with the State of Delaware, Health & Social Services Division.
Lynn loved to travel, enjoying several trips to the National Parks in the southwest region of the country as well as a trip to tour Alaska. She also traveled internationally to Russia, Poland, Italy, and Aruba. At home, Lynn enjoyed NASCAR racing, and recently became a fan of Formula One racing. She was a life-long learner, an avid reader, and enjoyed following sports, including professional tennis.
Lynn is survived by her siblings LeRoy B. Packard, Jr. of Lansdale, Laura P. Smith of Hatfield, and Lawrence B. Packard of Silver Springs, MD. She is also survived by a niece Robyn N. Smith of Philadelphia, and several dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Lynn to be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 10:00 AM until services begin at 11:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901. Interment will immediately follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler.
