Louis F. Valletto

Louis F. Valletto of Niles, IL and formerly of Doylestown, PA died peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2024. He was 86.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Ralph and Antoinette Valletto. Lou was the beloved husband of 39 years to the late Kathleen Mackin Valletto.

Lou served in the US Air Force, was an enthusiast of war history and loved to discuss politics and current events. Although he relocated to the Chicago area later in life, he remained a lifelong, avid Philadelphia sports fan. When he wasn’t cheering for the Eagles or Phillies, he loved to watch his grandchildren in their sporting events. He was an incredibly proud grandfather - ‘Dodo’ as he was affectionately known. Lou spent his last years surrounded by many wonderful friends in his independent living residence where he enjoyed new hobbies and socializing.

Lou is survived by his loving and devoted children Michael Valletto and his wife Melinda of Doylestown, and Nicole Wineman and her husband Benjamin of Glencoe, IL. He is also survived by his dear grandchildren Ava, Gabriel, Jacob, Fiona, Claudia, his sisters Rosemarie Bollendorf (late Joseph), Antoinette Walkley (Charles), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing on Tuesday March 5, 2024 from 11am until his Funeral Service at 12pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (Route 202 & Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. His interment will be at the Doylestown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research
