Elizabeth "Betty" C. Gormley

Elizabeth C. “Betty” Gormley of Wrightstown died peacefully on Friday February 23, 2024 at her home with her devoted family by her side. She was 88.

 Born in Philadelphia she was the loving and devoted wife to Warren A. Gormley Sr., for the past 67 years. She was the mother of the late Craig Gormley and mother-in-law of the late Bruce Smith and Richard Pfleger and daughter of the late Herman and Bertha Baines Gartner.

Betty was a graduate of Nazareth Academy, class of 1953 and worked for the Johnsville Naval Air Development Center as a Contract Negotiator for over 41 years, and was an active Communicant of St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Betty and her husband Warren, enjoyed traveling thru out the country, they looked forward to family togetherness on the weekends in the Pocono Mountains at a home that Warren built in early 1980’s at Lake Naomi. They both loved Country music and especially the Cramer Brothers Band that played at the Naomi Lodge.  Betty was one of the sweetest woman that you could meet; she would offer to do anything and everything for anyone and loved to spoil her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her beloved husband, Betty is survived by her devoted children, Warren A. Gormley Jr., and his wife Denise, Michele E. Smith and Skip Pomponio and Diane Pfleger and her fiancé Robert Johnson. She is also survived by her dear grandchildren, Rebecca Gormley, Megan Callahan (Robert), Crystal Nemeth  (Drew), Danielle Nesteruk  (Matthew), Bruce Smith Jr, Shawn Pfleger(Taylor), Ryan Pfleger (Chelsea), and great grandmother of, Jace, JD, Drew, Riley, Mason, Jack, Regan, Hunter, Jax, Weston, Lillian, Haylee.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday March 6, 2024 at the Olde St. Andrew Catholic Church 135 South Sycamore S.t Newtown from 9:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
