Audrey T. Sheridan (Teufel)

It is with deep sorrow and love that we mourn the passing of Audrey T. Sheridan (née Teufel), 90, of Warminster, who departed this world in the company of her beloved children on February 29, 2024.

Born September 11, 1933, in Newark, NJ, she was the youngest daughter of the late Louis and Bertha Teufel, and the sister of the late June Elizabeth Bewkes and Louis Jack Teufel, Jr.

On June 30, 1956, Audrey married her loving husband, the late James J. Sheridan, whom she now rejoins after missing him dearly since 1989. Together, they raised two children in Staten Island, NY, before retiring to Toms River, NJ in 1988.

Whether it was as “Mom,” or as “Grammy,” Audrey always worked to ensure the well-being of her loving children and adoring grandchildren. She instilled through her own example the importance of education, hard work, and strong family values. Her example as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, will serve as an inspiration for successive generations. An incredibly intelligent, trailblazing woman, Audrey graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and later obtained her Master’s Degree at night while working and raising two children. Audrey loved teaching her first and second graders in Belleville, NJ and at Staten Island Academy during her 30+ years career as an educator, nurturing and inspiring many young minds in addition to her own family. During the last few years of her amazing life, Audrey was a resident of Ann’s Choice. While at Ann’s Choice, she continued to be focused on the well-being of her neighbors; always asking, “Are you okay?” She never stopped caring about others. Her kindness of heart and beautiful smile will be dearly missed by many.

Survivors include two children, Barbara Sheridan Kueny (husband, Thomas) and James J. Sheridan, Jr. (wife, Catherine); three grandchildren, Lauren Sheridan (Anthony Millevoi), Thomas Kueny (Siobhan Rueda), and Erin Kueny; as well as one great-grandchild, Isabelle Millevoi. She is pre-deceased by her grandson, James Sheridan.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 10:00 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Audrey’s name can be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation,  2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306. (718) 987-1931.
