Otto Richards

Otto W. Richards, 94, of Doylestown, passed away March 6, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Daly) Richards. Otto was born on June 25, 1929 to Otto and Dorothy Mangan Richards in Elmira, NY. He graduated from the University of Buffalo after serving in the United States Navy on the USS Wasp during the Korean War. He spent the first part of his career as a corporate accountant for Westinghouse culminating in his position as the Chief Financial Officer of Ketema. Otto was an honorable man with very high ethical standards. Upon retirement, he volunteered many hours of his time to the SCORE organization advising aspiring entrepreneurs. He was an avid gardener and was known for his delicious sauerkraut which he generously shared with friends and family. He raised and educated six children along side his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary. He loved his family and his larger than life presence will be greatly missed.

Survivors include six children, William Richards (Joanne), Kathryn Hinkle (David), Julie Musante (Thomas), Anne Morris (Michael), Mark Richards (Lorraine), and Mary Monica (James); 11 grandchildren, Jonathan, Mark, Adam, Brian, Tom, Grace, Kate, Matt, Andrew, Erin, and Michael; four great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Alex, Adeline, and Merritt; and his sister Joyce Trombley. Otto was pre-deceased by his son-in-law, Delbert Hinkle.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 10:00 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
