Regina M. Gebka (McDonald)

Regina “Jeanie" M. Gebka, 62, of Lower Makefield Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, April 1, 2024. She was the dear wife of 37 years to Michael J. Gebka.

Born June 3, 1961 in Easton ,PA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene E. and Kathryn I Lilly McDonald.

Jeanie enjoyed a long career and retired as an Operations Research Analyst for the US Department of Defense (DoD) based primarily at the Naval Support function in Philadelphia.  Jeanie also enjoyed various DoD assignments at the Pentagon, Crystal City Virginia and Annapolis.

Her love of solving numeric puzzles and talent for being able to fold and pack big things into small spaces was only surpassed by her baking, cooking and entertaining skills….for those of you who have sampled her famous chocolate chip cookies no further description is required.  Whether it was preparing formal Holiday dinners or summer cook-outs big and small, Jeanie’s talent was ever-present and was a source of great joy and satisfaction for her.

Though she was not a pet owner as a child, Jeanie completely embraced the lifestyle of constantly living with two German Shepards for her entire married life.

Jeanie always was ready to provide help and support and always with a smile on her face.

Along with her husband Michael, Regina is survived by her siblings Mary Louise Galvin and her husband Eugene of Herdon, VA, Kathryn Andrews and her husband Peter of Blue Bell, PA, Patricia Bricker of Ft. Washington, PA as well as nieces Meaghan Jaffe (Robert) and Kathryn Corcoran (Matt) and many extended family members and friends.

Family and friends may pay condolences for Regina on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Saturday morning from 8:00 am until 8:45 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954. Her funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 am at The Olde Church of St. Andrew, 135 S. Sycamore Street, Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
