Joanne Frances Danna

Joanne Frances Danna, age 72, a resident of Holland, PA, passed away peacefully at Chandler Hall in Newtown, PA on Thursday, April 4, 2024.

She was the loving mother of Brian and Michael and grandmother of six beautiful grandchildren. Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 27, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Sara Danna.

Joanne graduated from Cardinal O’Hara High School, Springfield, PA, Penn State University and the College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College). Joanne was a dedicated educator with a 38-year career as a reading specialist in Centennial School District in Warminster, PA.

She was a dedicated Roman Catholic. Joanne truly enjoyed her six grandchildren, attending every activity possible in which they engaged. Additionally, Joanne loved her summers in Wildwood Crest, traveling, shopping, reading, party planning and “streaming”.

Joanne is survived by her son Michael Marchesani (Danene), grandchildren Mia, Vincent, Daniel, Nathan, Ryan and Janie; her sister Mildred Muscelli (late Leonard) and “brother” Samuel “Sammy” Mami. She was predeceased by her son Brian Marchesani (Emily), parents Samuel and Sara (Raffa) Danna; sister Nancy Schwenk (late Walt) and brothers James “Jimmy” Danna (Jovita) and John “Jack” Danna (Vivian).

Joanne will be remembered for being a loving mother, wonderful grandmother, caring daughter and sister and loyal friend.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Joanne’s family on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 6-8pm at the Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Road (at Holland Road) in Richboro, PA 18954. Friday morning, visitation will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road in Newtown, PA 18954 from 10:00am, until the start of her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joanne’s memory may be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center at 333 Cottman Avenue in Philadelphia, PA 19111.
