William "Bill" P. Foy III

William “Bill” P. Foy, III, of Lansdale, PA died on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Abington Jefferson Health – Lansdale, after a brave fight against cancer.  He was 56.

Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late William P. Foy, Jr and Marilou Walker Foy

Bill was a graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School. He was a chef and owner of the former State Street Café in Doylestown, PA. Most recently, he worked as the Assistant Store Manager at the Montgomeryville Lowes for many years.

Bill was a season ticket holder and life-long fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.  He loved spending time every summer in Sea Isle City, NJ with his family and beloved dogs, Zeke and Stella. He was an amazing chef and could whip up anything with the ingredients on hand.  Bill was a loyal Dead Head and in his younger days traveled all around to see them in concert.  He grew up playing Lenape Valley Baseball and continued that journey with his son. Bill was also an umpire for LV Baseball and was a member of the Board.

He is survived by his partner of 13 years, Susan Kessler of Lansdale, his son William P. Foy, IV of Philadelphia, daughter Nicole Foy of Philadelphia, and his sister Mary Gawronski and her fiancé Eric Lincoln of Allentown.  His two nieces Caitlin and Courtney Gawronski, Aunt Loretta Lukic, Uncle John “Jack” Foy and companion Rose Sangiovanni, and several cousins also survive him.

Family and friends are invited to come casual and visit with his family on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Road) , New Britain, PA 18901.  At the request of the family, do not come in black dresses or dark suits.  It is preferable that you come in casual clothes and Eagles and Phillies attire are preferred.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to Lenape Valley Baseball for the upkeep and maintenance of the Chris DiLissio Memorial Baseball Field, NB-4, 207 Park Ave, Chalfont, PA 18914, https://lvbaseball.org/donations.
