Fluehr Family

In 1976, Joseph A. Fluehr III and his wife Christine combined their resources and talents and established a funeral home in Richboro, Bucks County, PA. Mr. and Mrs. Fluehr set out to create a family owned business, based on trust, believing that they could provide a valuable service to their community.

Located on Route 332 between Richboro and Newtown, the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home has provided a comfortable and peaceful setting for its grieving families for over twenty-three years. During this time, the Fluehr family has served the families of Lower Bucks County with a long history of personal service and professional standards.

The concept, which was conveyed from the mind of Mr. Fluehr to the hand of the architect, evolved into the premiere Funeral Home in Lower Bucks County. They worked together to design a facility that would meet the needs of the bereaved as well as the needs of the community. The designated focus of the building would be on the family and friends attending the funerals. This was achieved by providing full access for the handicapped and elderly as well as accommodating large groups of people.

After the Funeral Home was competed, it superceded all expectations of Mr. Fluehr, his wife and the community. The 15-acre, partially wooded grounds have provided a peaceful and picturesque setting for all the families and friends who come to bid their farewells and begin their healing process.

Furthermore, the Fluehr’s have incorporated several amenities in their funeral home that sets them apart from the others. Specifically, they have designed a private sitting room and bathroom, conveniently located in the front of the visitation room, for the grieving families. This provides families with a place to take a quick break with complete privacy. As for parking, with the abundant property available, there is enough space to handle the largest of gatherings. The Funeral Home facilities are located on one floor with no steps to navigate. There is a carport to drop off loved ones and enough seating in the main parlor for family and friends to feel comfortable during the funeral service.

Believing so strongly in helping families through the healing process, the Fluehr’s have just recently expanded to New Britain, just outside of Doylestown. The new facility has all the amenities of the original location as well as some new ones they’ve included based on their many years of experience.

The second location has two large viewing rooms, a private sitting room and bathroom for the families, and plenty of parking for large services. Guests are welcome to visit the meditation path and garden where they may wander, deposit ashes, or take a moment for silent prayer. Both viewing rooms, the mediation garden and the wooded surroundings give grieving families and friends a beautiful place to say goodbye.

Most importantly, both locations will provide you with the best personal care and professional service from Joseph A. Fluehr III, Joseph A. Fluehr IV, and their highly trained staff.
