Kathryn P. Giannini (Ford)
Kathryn P. Giannini (Ford) of Philadelphia died peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Chandler Hall. She was 79.
Kathryn was the beloved wife of 26 years of the late John Giannini. They are reunited after all these years and are surely jitterbugging in heaven.
Born on May 20,1944 and raised on Cheltenham Avenue in Frankford, she was the first-born daughter of the late Harry W. and Kathryn Ford (Mulhern). BUILT FORD TOUGH.
Kathryn was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia. Her career as an executive assistant spanned from Temple University to Delaware Investment Group until her retirement. Her most treasured role in that time was as stay at home mom. Kathryn raised her family on Elbridge Street in Northeast Philadelphia. She was a loving mother to Kathryn Mary Payne and son-in-law Michael and was also the proudest Nanny to Colin John and Aidan Charles. She enjoyed dancing with the love of her life, John, a great surf ’n turf dinner with family and movies and dinner out with her girlfriends. She made many special memories during her days at Bensalem Swim Club and summer vacations at the Royal Sands in North Wildwood. She loved spending time with her grandsons and cherished time spent with her family, creating memories with them that will last forever in their hearts and minds.
Kathryn was predeceased by her devoted brother Harry T. Ford and her best friend and sister, Karen Skubin (Ford). Kathryn is survived by her adoring brother Ken Ford (the late Ann), and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Kathryn touched the lives of those around her with her grace, strength, and pure kindness. Throughout her whole life, those traits defined her. Kathryn will be greatly missed, but eternally loved by everyone who was in her life and loved by her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:30am in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road Holland, PA 18966. Her interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center.
