Christian Tyler Murphy

Christian Tyler Murphy, the fun, silly, and endlessly smiley son of Kevin and Jennifer Celenza Murphy of Huntingdon Valley, PA, passed away peacefully in the presence of family and friends on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Born on August, 8, 2018, Christian, affectionately known to many as “Christian Bear” or “Mr. Man”, had just celebrated his first birthday.  In just one year he filled the world around him with an amount of joy that was without measure.

Christian spent his days like many his age; adoring his big sister, Carly and walking, or really “galloping” around the house (which he proudly began doing at just ten months old and had been unstoppable since then).  He also was an avid fan of all sports, always glued to whatever game his dad was watching and had an affinity for Sports Talk Radio, which he much preferred over listening to music while riding in the car.  An exception to the rule, Christian LOVED going to Daycare and enjoyed being around his friends.  He also loved the water and especially playing in the sand and surf at the beach.  And, although sad that he was in this world for just one year, he certainly packed a full life into that time and made the lives of everyone around him full of life, love, and laughter.

Christian came into this world beautifully and surrounded by love and he left it in just the same way.  He will be missed but certainly never forgotten.

In addition to his parents and his big sister, Carly, Christian leaves behind his grandparents, Vincent and Patricia Celenza; his Aunts and Uncles, Jessica & Alexander Robinson, Stephanie & Lucas Long, Vincent Celenza & Maureen Shiels, and Karen Murphy as well as countless cousins, relatives and friends.

Christian was preceded in death by his Aunt and Uncle, Christina and Tyler Roy who welcomed him with open arms to his new home in heaven.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Christian’s family on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954 and  again on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966 where his Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM.  His interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christian’s memory to the Christina and Tyler Roy Foundation, 10063 Sandmeyer Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19116.
