Michael B. Hager

Michael Bruce Hager, of Doylestown, died peacefully at home on August 6th, 2020.  He was 67 years old.

Born in Doylestown, Mike was the son of Arthur and Estella (Mitman) Hager. He was a 1971 graduate of Central Bucks West.

After High School he graduated with a certificate in a then emerging field of Computer Programming from the Computer Educational Institute in Philadelphia. He began his computer career with Scott Environmental Technology before moving to Unisys (then Sperry UNIVAC), where he had a successful career spanning over 30 years and two continents.

Mike was curious and driven in all his endeavors, but he was especially talented in fixing cars and computers, photography, fishing, and gardening.  His sense of humor and quick wit were unique and he adored his children and five grandchildren. Mike had a loving heart for adopting older cats that needed new homes and also training squirrels with peanuts. He was a wonderful cook and leaves behind cherished family recipes from his Pennsylvania-German roots.

Mike will be deeply missed by his children: Michael (Trista) Hager, Jessecca Hager (Carter Seeley), Arianne Hager (Keith Crumley), and grandchildren: Blake, Camryn and Harper Hager and Meredith and Devon Seeley.  Mike is also survived by his brother Henry (Bev) Hager.

Mike’s children thank his friends, Larry and Rosemary, for their love, empathy, and friendship to him.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation in Mike’s memory. PMSF, P.O. Box 1153, Osprey, FL 34229 or pmsf.org.
