Florence M. Luke (Dunleavy)

Florence Marie Luke of Woodbury, NJ died on December 16, 2020 at Woodbury Mews.  She was 93. 

Florence was the loving wife of the late Frank A. Luke who died in 1981. 

Born in Ashland, PA she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Henley Dunleavy. 

Florence was the youngest of seven children. After graduating from high school, she moved from Ashland to Philadelphia. Florence worked at Philco and contributed to the war effort. She met Frank and they married in 1950. They lived in Levittown, PA for 14 years and then moved to Feasterville, PA. Florence was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. When she was widowed, she returned to work outside the home and became an active member of the Neshaminy Senior Center. There Florence enjoyed line dancing classes and many other activities at the Senior Center. She always loved music and learned to play the piano in later years. Family was very important to her.

Surviving are Florence’s children, Michael Luke and his wife, Karen (Borrelli), of Haddon Heights, NJ and Susan Luke Kirkpatrick and her husband, Sid, of Newtown, PA.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Bradley Kirkpatrick and his wife, Alexis Ramirez-Arnold, Dana (Kirkpatrick) Campbell and her husband, Jordan, and Natalie (Kirkpatrick) Rooney, and her husband, Terence; and her great-grandchildren, Ryan, Evan, Gavin, and Blake. 

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954 (masks are required and occupancy is limited to 10 individuals at a time) and to her graveside service at 11:30 AM in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940 where guests are asked to assemble at the cemetery administration building by 11:15 AM.
