Frederick F. Remsing

Frederick F. Remsing died Friday, January 15, 2021 at his home in Langhorne, surrounded by his loving family. He died just 2 days short of his 92nd birthday.

Fred was the beloved husband of the late Donata (Diane) L. Visco Remsing. In sharing over 60 years together, they were soulmates and the “perfect” couple. True best friends, they enjoyed love, laughter
and family. One only needed to see them holding hands to know they shared something special.

Fred was born and raised in Philadelphia and was one of 8 children. He worked over 50 years in the trucking industry, where he worked his way up from the loading dock to Terminal Manager in 1961 for various companies including; Cooper Jarrett Inc., Mushroom Transportation Inc., Dorn’s Transportation and Friedman Express. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan who enjoyed the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, 76ers etc. Fred owned a neighborhood bar called the Town Tavern for over 10 years. After retirement, Fred and Diane spent the next 20 years traveling throughout the country and internationally and spending time with friends and family. He was known as a gentle man and patriot with the utmost integrity. He had a great sense of humor with an infectious laugh. Fred was a kind and giving man who would do anything for anyone. He was loved by all who met him.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Diane D. Griffin and her husband Scott, Vincent C. Remsing and his wife Kim, Robert A. Remsing and his wife Lisa; his grandchildren, Matthew Griffin (Kara), Vicki McKenna (Tim), Holly Remsing, Christina Remsing and Taylor Remsing (John Distel) and his great-grandchildren, Griffin McKenna and Logan McKenna. Frederick is also survived by his siblings, Frank, Richard, Barbara, Betty and Bert.
