Marilynn A. Jones (Johns)

Marilynn A Jones of Churchville Pa. passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. She was 83 years old.

Born in Orange New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen Lynn Johns. Marilynn was the beloved wife of the late David C. Jones for 62 beautiful years. They were married on November 23rd in 1957 at the First Baptist Church in East Orange New Jersey. After marriage Marilynn and Dave had two children, David and Patricia. After moving to Churchville Pennsylvania, and raising her children, Marilyn went on to work at many of the community’s establishments. She worked at the Spread Eagle Inn and Clover Department Store where she developed many life-long friendships. Marilynn was a loving and caring friend. She always kept in touch and lived a wonderful social life that was full of joy and friendships.

Marilynn is survived by her loving children; David A. Jones and Patricia Clark, her grandchildren Michael, James (Jaclyn) and Nicholas (Alison) Clark, her great-grandchildren Ryanne and Patrick Clark, as well as many nieces, a nephew, and great nieces and nephews.

Marilynn loved to shop, read, play cards, be with friends, and vacation in Avalon with her family. She made many trips to Ireland with friends and enjoyed Irish music and culture. Likely due to Marilynn’s Irish heritage and love for all thing’s shamrock, she was always able to find good fortune at the bingo hall or casino, in which she was quick to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with the winnings.

A private service will be held, A celebration of life will be held later due to COVID.
