Gary E. Foster
Gary E. Foster, Lifelong resident of Bucks County, most recently of Buckingham, died Tuesday evening at St. Luke’s Hospice, Bethlehem. He was 85.
Born in Bristol, he was the beloved husband of 63 years to Doris Luff Foster, son of the late Earl and Dorothy Thorpe Foster.
Gary lived in Hulmeville with his parents, before moving to Richboro, he was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1953, he served in the United States Navy.
Gary married his sweetheart Doris Luff in 1957, at the Addisville Reformed Church. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Phillies, Eagles and NASCAR racing. He was a contractor all of his life and enjoyed working. He built his home and lived in Richboro for over 33 years, before moving to Haycock Mountain, Quakertown and got a new farm tractor and many farm animals including donkeys, he always wanted, along with 11 acres of grass to cut and a pond that he built to raise fish in and sit alongside and enjoy the view.
He was a man of few words, his handshake was firm and true, he was a member of the board of directors of Union Cemetery for many years and active in his community. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife Doris, he is survived by his 3 children: Patricia Lyons and her husband Mike, Amy Casey and her husband Tom and Stephen Foster and his wife Eileen. He was the proud Pop Pop of 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Due to the Pandemic Gary’s funeral services and interment will be private for immediate family.
