Eleonore A. Nocera (Zalewski)
Eleonore A. Nocera of Warminster died suddenly on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at her residence at Ann’s Choice. She was 83.
Eleonore was the devoted wife of 51 years to Philip A. Nocera, who predeceased her in 2013 as well as the loving mother to son Christopher who passed in 2002.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, where she lived for 76 years, She was the daughter of the late Stanley Zalewski and Stella (Pesta) Zalewski.
Her Polish heritage was always a tradition she kept alive over the years.
Eleonore enjoyed travel, crafting beaded flowers and especially loved playing her slot machines in Atlantic City. She and Phil were regulars at the Borgata. Eleonore adored spending time with her grandchildren Diana and Marissa and had a special birthday dinner with family last week with her favorite Chinese food meal.
Eleonore is survived by her loving daughter, Dr. Lisa Nocera, and her spouse, Dana Newbauer, of Richboro; and by her sister, Anne Marie Luginsland, and her husband, Gerald, whose children James, Greg and Lauren were like her own grandchildren. Also surviving Eleonore is her brother, Edmund Zalewski, wife Honor, niece Jennifer and nephew Michael.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA, where mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY, will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the American Red Cross at 2221 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103 are appreciated.
