Robert F. Galante

Robert F. Galante, 84, of Newtown, passed away peacefully in the evening of Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Langhorne, PA.

After serving in the US Army, Robert married Juliet Joy Giordano of Philadelphia in 1961 and by 1966 was the father of three sons. He began a career as an Economic Forecaster for AT&T. His keen analytical skill provided a home and financial security for his family for decades.  He once observed that few things on earth were as satisfying as a productive day at work, whether it be at AT&T or on a home improvement project.

Robert graduated LaSalle College in 1958 and continued on to Brown University for a Masters in economics, then on to an MBA at New York University. He was an extraordinary baseball coach. His players were well-versed in the fundamentals of the game and their ebullient victories were many.

Robert was a loyal and loving husband whose devotion to his wife defines life partnership.  He was a devoted father to three sons and a devoted grandfather for three.

Robert was a Roman Catholic who walked humbly in the footsteps of Christ.

Robert is survived by his wife, Juliet Joy Galante of Newtown, and by his brother Anthony Galante of Estero, Florida; and by three sons and their wives: Stephen Galante and Monica Zortea of Chalfont, PA; Robert F. Galante, Jr and his wife Linda Rastelli of Freehold, NJ; and Richard Galante and his wife Nicola Kinsella of Hackettstown, NJ. Robert also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Robert, Joseph and Annamarie Galante.  He is survived also by his three nieces while his nephew passed in 2009.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Graveside service at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 7th at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Rd, Yeadon, PA 19050.  His family will receive friends on Saturday, April 10th from 10:00am until his Memorial Service 11:00AM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.
