James M. Sullivan, Jr.

James M. “Jimmy” Sullivan, Jr., of Nesquehoning, PA, died on April 14, 2021 surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness.  He was 64 years old.

James was the beloved husband of Denise Sullivan.

Born in Lower Merion, Jimmy was the loving son to the late James M. Sullivan, Sr. and the late Martha Haggerty.

Jimmy was an Air Force veteran for 7+ years.  Jimmy also got saved by the grace of God and immediately involved himself in the work of the Lord.  He was a member of the Doylestown Mennonite Church, and he led a Christian organization called The Sons of God.  Jim also did sound tech for the Christian band Obadiah.  He also led a faithful Friday night prayer meeting, inviting the most ragamuffins of souls to know Christ, and was an active member of Calvary of Philadelphia.

Jimmy is survived by his loving children, Annie Sullivan of Lansdale, PA, Michael Sullivan of San Francisco, CA, John Kelly of Sellersville, PA, and Samantha Shumack with whom he resided in Nesquehoning along with his wife, Denise; by his brother Sean and Cindy Sullivan of Tobyhanna, PA; by his four sisters and their husbands, Kate Goldenberg of Perkasie, PA, Meghan and Randy Hart of Los Angeles, CA, Gwyn Bernstein of Chalfont, PA, Heather and John Madden of Katy, TX; by 5 grandchildren; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Due to current restrictions surrounding the pandemic, a celebration of James’ life will occur at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to Denise Sullivan to help with James’ unexpected death and expenses would be appreciated.
