Kevin T. O'Brien

Kevin Thomas O’Brien, a lifelong resident of Lansdale, died on Monday May 24, 2021 at Abington-Jefferson Health Hospital. He was 56.

Kevin was the loving husband of Jennifer A. Beisty O’Brien and together they shared over 21 years of marriage, family, and all of the adventures along the way.

Born in Lansdale, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Anne M. Farrell O’Brien.

Kevin attended St. Stanislaus grade school and Lansdale Catholic High School and eventually went on to earn both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in business administration from LaSalle University.  He began his career in the mortgage industry before his career as a financial advisor.

About nine years ago, life would change unexpectedly and a momentary setback became a blessing as Kevin transitioned to being the “World’s greatest stay-at-home Dad”.  His family treasured the time he was able to spend at home with his girls, proudly cooking every meal and making sure they were taken care of.

In spite of challenges along the way, Kevin remained the life of the party and was always focused on the people in his life and how he could care for, help, or entertain them.  Whether you found him dancing in the garage, reading, grocery shopping, watching the history channel, or whatever other trouble he could get himself into, he was doing it with a smile and making it fun.

Kevin will be dearly missed but all who knew and loved him are no doubt grateful for the person he was and the impact he left on the world.

In addition to his wife, Kevin leaves behind his children, Grace A. and Maria R. “Mia”, both of Lansdale; his sisters, Kathleen O’Brien and Anne Marie O’Brien Allen, also both of Lansdale; and his brother-in-law, John Beisty and his wife, Sally Beisty of Wayne, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901 and again on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Rd., North Wales, PA 19454 from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  His interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to “For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation” by visiting www.takeabreakfromcancer.org/kevin-obrien.
