Loretta W. Zlock (Walko)

Loretta W. Zlock of Doylestown died peacefully on Wednesday May 26, 2021 at Pine Run Health Care, Doylestown.  She was 87.

Beloved wife of the late Charles Zlock, Sr. DDS, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Emerich) Walko.

Born in Pottsville, PA, Loretta was a graduate of St. Jerome’s High School, class of 1950. Loretta was raised in Brockton, PA and met her husband Charles in Tamaqua and got married in 1957. Loretta and her husband formerly lived in Glenolden, Warminster and for the past 41 years in Doylestown.

Loretta was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Doylestown and a member of the Doylestown Questers. She, along with her late husband, had been members of Doylestown Country Club. Both enjoyed golf and were active and competitive bridge players for many years. Loretta was an outstanding Real Estate agent in the Doylestown area working for Flo Smerconish Real Estate for many years

She was a devout, faithful Catholic who lived next to her parish churches for most of her life. She was a woman of great elegance who attended to her family and friends with great love and attention.

Loretta is survived by her sons Reverend Charles Zlock, Jr. and Dr. Gregory A. Zlock, D.M.D. and his wife Margot, a brother Joseph Walko and sister-in-law the late Joan Walko, her sister Estelle “Dolly” Getz and her husband Paul.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday June 4, 2021 from 9:45 am until her concelebrated Funeral Mass 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 235 East State St. Doylestown, PA 18901. Interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, will be held on Tuesday June 8th at 1:30pm (please arrive by 1:15pm at the Administration Bldg.).

Contributions in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at the above address.
