Edwina L. Voit (Lamparski)

Edwina L. Voit (née Lamparski), of Warrington, died on May 27, 2021 after a sudden illness.  She was 83 years young. Edwina was the devoted wife of the late James E. Voit, Sr.  Born in Philadelphia, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and the late Helen (Slowik) Lamparski.

What was most important to Edwina was spending time with those she loved…Family and friends. Even though she would never know her father, and only have her mother for too short a time, she was still surrounded by family, Aunt Bernice, Uncle Eddie, and cousins who became her siblings. Then there was that boy a street over whom she would build her next family with and who left us all much too soon. Her family continued to grow with the addition of spouses and grandchildren and those grandchildren are now continuing the legacy.

Edwina enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends but her most cherished spot in the summertime was Ocean City, NJ. From the time with her young family, Edwina continued the tradition as the family grew so all her grandchildren could enjoy the peaceful sounds of the ocean and gentle warmth of the sand just as she did.

Edwina is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Anne Marie and Gerard DeMarco of Florham Park, NJ; Geralyn and David Heller of Nashville, TN; Edwina and Scott Sywulak of Chalfont, PA; and James E., Jr. and Deborah Voit of Exton, PA; by her eleven grandchildren, Stephen Gerard (Caitlin), Christopher Matthew, Julia Anne, Sarah Miriam, Catherine Elizabeth, Grace Hirsh, Jeffrey Edward, Matthew Joseph, Greggory Scott, James Edward III “Trip”, and Bryce Anders; by her closest relatives, Martin “Buzz” (Dolores), Marie (James), and Bernice; and by a host of extended family and friends. She was eagerly awaiting her great-grandson expected in early June.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on the family on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 10:30 AM until her Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon, St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA. Interment in St. John Neumann Cemetery will follow the Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, PO Box 32141, New York, NY 10087-2141, are gratefully appreciated.
