Ronald E. Hoch

Ronald E. Hoch of Langhorne was received into God’s Care on Friday, June 4, 2021 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne.  He was 77.

Ron was the loving and devoted husband of the late Diana Whitecraft Hoch and together they shared 28 years of marriage until her death in 2015.

Born in Pennington, NJ he was the son of the late Grant and Rose Mary Doyle Hoch.

Ron spent much of his life in Pennington, NJ and was most recently a long time resident of Langhorne.  He graduated from Hopewell Valley Central High School and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from the University of Maryland where he played Division 1 soccer.  Ron began his career as a Soccer coach both for West Point Military Academy and the University of Maryland and led teams to two national championships.

Ron’s storied career continued in public service, first with the ATF and then with the Secret Service where he was for over 30 years and was part of security detail for five different presidents.  Following his retirement from the Secret Service he continued to work for the State Department.

Most of all, Ron will be remembered for his love of his family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Surviving are his daughters, Tessie Davis Moyer of Damascus, MD and Courtney Doto of Holland, PA. He is also survived by his three cherished grandchildren, Samantha, Jason and Ryan.
