Jennifer C. Reese (DeSalvo)

Jennifer C. Reese of Richboro, Pennsylvania, died peacefully surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Doylestown Hospital. She was 71 years old.

Jennifer was born December 4, 1949 in Buffalo, New York, the Daughter of the late Phillip and Marina (Pino) DeSalvo. She was the beloved wife of 47 years to Michael E. Reese whom she married on August 7, 1974.

Jennifer graduated from Youngstown State University in 1974 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology specializing in Microbiology. She interned at Akron City Hospital and worked in the Microbiology Laboratory at Doylestown Hospital for 26 years, retiring in 2015. She was a 1967 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School in Ohio.

Jennifer enjoyed playing golf and tennis with her friends and family, traveling domestically and abroad, completing Sudoku puzzles and spending winters in South Florida. She had a fantastic sense of style, wonderful sense of humor, a sincere concern for the future of our environment, and advocated for several social justice causes.

Jennifer was an excellent cook, who enjoyed entertaining friends and family throughout the years. She is cherished, loved and survived by her husband, daughters Jordan Marcella Leão (José), of Manhattan, New York, Maren Laurel Reese, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Shelby Elizabeth Reese (Amanda Vallario), Warrington, Pennsylvania, her two grandchildren Kirikou Sage and Ona Sophia of Philadelphia, and her brother Phillip DeSalvo of Lancaster, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her brother Breen DeSalvo.

Services and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to those organizations dedicated to providing basic healthcare services and cancer screenings for women regardless of income, race, or religion.
