Susan C. Critchfield (Wunnenberg)

Susan Charlotte Wunnenberg Critchfield, age 59, of Hatfield, died on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Lansdale Hospital.

Born January 20, 1962, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Charles and Veronica Dowling Wunnenberg, and the wife of Dean Critchfield, to whom she was married for 34 years.

She was a loving and dedicated wife, a devoted daughter, and beloved sister and aunt.  She loved nature, sewing with her mom, crafting with her sister, traveling, and her pets.  She treasured the time she and Dean spent relaxing at their cabin in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, surrounded by family and friends.  She also enjoyed spending time in her yard watching her chickens roam and her dog play.

Susan was committed to her decades-long career with Johnson and Johnson where she played a critical role in documenting the results of medical trials of new life-saving drugs.  She obtained her Associates Degree early in her career and later furthered her education by obtaining her Bachelors of Science Degree in the medical field.

In addition to her parents and husband, Susan is survived by: brother Charles D. Wunnenberg, and wife Jennifer, of Perkasie; sister Ann Wood, and husband Michael, of Warrington; and nephews Andrew and Brian Wunnenberg, and Joshua and Benjamin Wood.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 856 Euclid Ave, Warrington, PA 18976, with a calling hour starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
