Albert M. Wurm

Albert Matthew Wurm, age 89, of Langhorne, died Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Chandler Hall, in Newtown.

Born April 5, 1932 in Chester, he was the son of the late Matthew and Marion Rumford Wurm, and the husband of Loretta Wagner Wurm, to whom he was married for 67 years.

He graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in 1954 and served in the US Army in the Korean war. He retired from US Army in 1992.  He was Commissioner for the 7th ward in Buck’s County for 18 years and a retired salesman from Emerson Electric company - Chromalox. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Sons of the American Revolution.  He loved traveling with his wife throughout the United States, Australia, Europe and Africa. He was a devoted family man.

In addition to his wife, Albert is survived by: daughters Linda Cerami, of Newtown, PA and Loretta Nesti, of Langhorne, PA; sons Robert Wurm, and wife Marlene, of Trenton, NJ, and Albert Wurm, Jr., of Lexington Park, MD; as well as 8 beloved grandchildren, and 9 adored great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to join Albert’s family for a viewing from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954. A Catholic prayer service will follow at 8:00 PM. Interment will take place at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA on Wednesday, July 7th, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
