Mary C. Kelly (Michnowicz)

Mary Kelly, described by her friends and family as a “hoot”, passed away with her family at her side, on August 23 after 98 wonderful years.  She was born June 2, 1923 in Newark, New Jersey, daughter of Polish immigrants, Anthony and Anna Michnowicz.  Mary is survived by her six children: Nancy (Steve) Smith, Sharon (Don) O’Neill, Bruce (Beth) Kelly, Diane (Joe) Syta, Gregg (Susan) Kelly and Janet Kelly; 13 grandchildren: Suzie, Kevin, Joey, Corrina, Brian, Paul, Eric, Meagan, Mark, Colleen, Daniel, Brendan and Brynn, and 3 great-grandchildren : Milo, Anya and Rafi. Mary is predeceased by her husband, Edmond.

At her core, Mary’s life was guided by her love of God, her love for her family and the importance of education. Her strong faith was with her always - really deeply. Her dreams, which were realized, were for all her children to be college-educated and self-sufficient, and for them to remain close and loving siblings. Mary was a strongly independent and selfless woman. Her nature showed in many ways: using her special funds to send a daughter to study in England, and even cheering for the Bills for her son-in law despite being a die-hard Eagles fan.

Mary enjoyed making Christmas ornaments for her family, reading, and watching endless episodes of Perry Mason.

Mary often shared how blessed she was to have such caring and wonderful neighbors.  Her family and neighbors will miss her engaging smile and laughter, and her ever-present wit.

Mary was proud to know that her tremendous legacy lives on through her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Mary's family on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 9:30am until the start of her Funeral Mass, 11:00am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Avenue in Warrington, PA 18976. Interment will follow at The Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA.
