James F. Smyth
James F. Smyth, III, 82, of Langhorne, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Linda M. (Verna) Smyth.
Born June 13, 1939 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late James F. Smyth, II, and Elizabeth (Riley) Vesci.
Jim graduated from Dobbins Highschool in Philadelphia. He excelled in auto painting and went on to own two body and paint shops. He was amazing salesman, leading him to be an associate broker for Caldwell-Banker, where he managed their Southampton office up until his retirement.
He was a father, a grandfather, an excellent home chef and a fun and thoughtful husband who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Along with his wife, Linda, James is survived by four children, Cheryl McKeown (Francis) of Richboro, James F. Smyth, IV of York, Shane Verna of Langhorne, and Jason Verna (Amber) of Levittown; six grandchildren, Victoria, Madison, Patrick, William, Francis, and Ava; four siblings, Kathy Pokropski (Dennis), Patricia Carr, Joseph Vesci (Debbie), and Frank Vesci; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021 for a graveside service at Whitemarsh Memorial Park (Please wait for the family at the Bell Tower), 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler.
