Ronald A. Magro, Sr.

Ronald Anthony Magro, Sr. passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, at his home in Huntingdon Valley. He was 85.

Born April 15, 1936, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Samuel and Katherine O'Brien Magro, and the husband of June A. Laing Magro, to whom he was married 66 years.

Nicknamed Bucky from a very young age and called “Pop” by his grandchildren, family meant everything to him. Bucky was the life of the party. He was very loving, loud, funny, so smart and just pure fun! He had a great big heart. His interests included: the law, the theatre, writing and sports, baseball in particular. He was larger than life yet so relatable and caring.

In addition to his wife June, Ronald is survived by: children Ronald A. Magro, Jr, and wife Patricia, Margaret Jamie Rose, and husband Leonard; son in law Phil Parker, and his wife Beth Schmitt Parker; his brother Charles Magro; his 3 sisters Kate Signore, Beverly McCormick, and Patricia Magro; as well as grandchildren Justin, Stephanie, Daniel, Nina, Joseph, John, and Benjamin. In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his daughter Sandra June Parker; sisters Dolores Guiliano, Thomasina Kleppinger, and Barbara Yorgan; and brothers Samuel Magro, and Francis "Frank" Magro.

Relatives and friends are invited to join Ronald’s family at his viewing, on Monday, January 24, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home – 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd), Richboro, PA 18954, as well as on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM, followed by Words of Remembrance from 10:55 AM until his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM, at St. Andrew Catholic Church – 81 Swamp Rd, Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.
