Donald L. Meddles

Donald L. “Don” Meddles, of Telford, PA passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Grandview Hospital. He was 72.

He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Lynda S. Barnhart Meddles.

Born in Clarksville, IN, he was the son of the late Clifford and Euleda V. Rock Meddles and the father of the late Lawrence Fetz.

Don grew up in Indiana and after high school joined the US Army. He proudly served his country in Vietnam. In his later years, he was sick for a long period from his exposure to agent orange.

When he returned home from the war, he met Lynda and they married on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1973 and together they raised 3 children.

Don served as a member, and then Chief, of the Warminster Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and as a member of the Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad for over 30 years.  Don was recognized by the Chamber of Commerce for his time and dedicated service.

Don was an avid WWF fan, as well as an Eagles fan, and loved the history channel.

In addition to his loving wife, Lynda, Don is survived by: their two children Kim Ellinger Faherty, and her wife Brandi Faherty, of Skippack Pa, and Michael Fetz of Telford Pa; also his sister Donna Cambron of Clarksville IN.  He is also survived by his four grandchildren: Rachel, Jessica, Brandon, and Nicholas; and two great-grandchildren: Jaxon and Mason.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901.  Interment will take place at a later date at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter #210, P.O. Box 1095, Doylestown, PA 18901.
