Melvin "Mel" R. Scott

Melvin R. “Mel” Scott, of Doylestown, PA died on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at his home. He was 77.

Born in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Ross Scott and Florence May Scott. 

He is survived by his son Brian Scott of Frederick MD, daughters Emaret Cherkauskas and her husband John of Burlington, NJ, Carmin Allabaugh and her husband Robert of Nanticoke PA, his 7 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

Mel worked as a lineman for Carr & Duff for 38 years. During his retirement years, he loved spending time working on a farm particularly taking care of his girls (aka the donkeys). He was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan, avid fisherman and hunter having spent many years hunting in Potter County, Quebec and Saskatchewan with friends and family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 3:00 PM until his Funeral Service, 5:00 PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave., (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901.  His interment will be held privately.
