Theresa Ruderick (Pirrone)

Theresa Ruderick, of Philadelphia, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Holy Redeemer Hospital, Meadowbrook, surrounded by her loving family. She was 73.

Born April 19, 1948, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Kalinowski Pirrone, and the beloved wife of Fred Ruderick, to whom she was married 53 years.

Terry was a gifted writer of poetry as well as heartwarming letters to her children during their lives. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and her role of Mom Mom was her greatest blessing. Terry loved to shop, especially in Lancaster, PA. She also loved cooking, baking, and hosting family and friends in her home. She welcomed everybody she met with open arms and made them feel loved.

In addition to her husband, Theresa is survived by children Brian J. Ruderick and wife Dianna, of Wildwood, NJ, Traci A. Ruderick, of Philadelphia, and Rebecca L. Farrell and husband Tim, of Meadowbrook; brothers John Pirrone and wife Babette, Sam Pirrone; sisters Dorothy Bailey and husband Bill, and Annette Pirrone; half-sisters Marie Robbins, Esther Marshall and husband Rich; grandchildren Jacob and Olivia Ruderick, Caroline, Kate, and Ben Farrell; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her son Timothy, brothers Michael (Bobby), Joseph, Dwight, Anthony, and Charles Pirrone; sister Emma Pirrone; and nephew Joseph Pirrone.

Relatives and friends are invited to join Theresa’s family for her visitation on Monday, April 11, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 9:50 AM, with Words of Remembrance taking place at 9:55 AM, leading up to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass, at St. Hilary of Poitiers Parish, 820 Susquehanna Road, Rydal, PA 19046. Her interment will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
