William P. Foy Jr.
William P. Foy Jr., of Conshohocken, PA died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. He was 79.
He was the beloved husband of 43 years to the late Marilou Walker Foy.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was one of five children to the late William P. Foy Sr. and Loretta Shanahan Foy.
He was a graduate of Monsignor Bonnor High School, and achieved his undergraduate degree from Delaware Valley College and MBA from Drexel University, both while working full-time and raising his family. He was most proud of the time he spent serving our country in the United States Air Force.
He was employed as a computer programmer and consultant, and had his own consulting business. He had a love for learning and taught Accounting part-time at his Alma Mater, Del Val.
He loved to explore near and far and was known for “taking his camera for a walk.” He was a member of several photography clubs and truly enjoyed perfecting his art. He was also a great supporter of the Audubon Society and many of his photos captured the beauty of various birds.
He will be sadly missed as a loving and devoted father, granddad, and brother.
He is survived by his two children William P. Foy III of Lansdale and partner Susan Kessler and Mary Gawronski of Chalfont, his three siblings; John "Jack" Foy and partner Rose Savgiovianni of Hoboken, NJ, Dennis and Estella Foy of Lambertville, NJ and Loretta Lukic of Jensen Beach, FL. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, William P. Foy IV and his girlfriend Kelly Gorman, Nicole Foy, Caitlin Gawronski and Courtney Gawronski. His brother Timothy Foy predeceased him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm where family and friends will share stories about Bill in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Road) New Britain, PA 18901. His interment service with military honors will be held at 9:00am on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940. For those attending the service please meet at the cemetery at 8:45am at the Administration Building in the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the National Audubon Society, 225 Varick Street, New York, NY, 10014.
