Patricia R. K. Gatto

Patricia “Patty” Reed Krauss Gatto, 66, of New Hope, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Frank John Gatto.

Born January 13, 1956 in Trenton, NJ, she was a daughter of the late John “Jack” Sparks Krauss and Julia “Judy” Hencken Reed Krauss.

Patty attended Council Rock High School in Newtown, PA and graduated from Millersville University in Millersville, PA.  She worked as an elementary special education learning support teacher in the Central Bucks school district.

Patty had a passion for helping children develop their relationships with God.  She worked as the Christian Education Director for Children and Youth at Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church from 2005-2016.  She brought her creativity, enthusiasm, and loving heart to teaching Sunday School and Bible School programs, writing biblical themed plays, and providing many fun, educational programs.

Patty spent her life serving and caring for others.  In addition to her church involvement, she also was a caretaker for her sister, Laurel Kruass.  She often could be seen creating amazing birthday parties for her daughter, running the snack shed at the local softball field, and volunteering for countless groups and organizations.

Along with her husband, Frank, Patricia is survived by a daughter Jaimie Salt and her husband Allan; and three siblings, John Krauss and his wife Carol Lewandowski, Diane Subers and her husband Gary, Laurel Krauss; as well as nieces, a nephew, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am at Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1680 Aquetong Road, New Hope. Interment will follow at Thompson Memorial Cemetery.
