Mary V. Smith (Nigro)

Mary Veronica (Nigro) Smith of Warminster died peacefully on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Abington-Jefferson Hospital, Abington, PA. She was 89 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Smith, and grandmother of the late Sean Smith and Cara Smith.

Mary was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School. Mary worked for many years for the Internal Revenue Service as a Tax Examiner.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Mary is survived by her dear children: Stephen F. Smith of Warminster, Raymond J. Smith, Jr., and his wife Hazel of Newtown, and Lawrence E. Smith and his wife Helen of Philadelphia. She is also survived by her eight dear grandchildren: Meghan, Larry Jr., Crystal, Tammy, Jake, Nick, Nicole, and Greg, along with her thirteen great grandchildren: Alyssa, Naijah, Ariana, Leilani, Brianna, Alexis, Danica, Sean, Violet, David, Aidan, Ashton, and Ava.  Mary always felt blessed to be surrounded by the love and care from all of her children, especially in her later years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday May 24, 2022 at St. Andrew Catholic Church 81 Swamp Rd. from 10:30 am to 11:30 a.m. and her Funeral Mass at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
