Patricia M. Simmers (Janos)

Patricia M. (Janos) Simmers was called to God on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Doylestown Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was 78.

Born March 14, 1944, in Camden, NJ, Pat was a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mildred Giberson Janos, and wife of Louis D. Simmers, to whom she was married for 55 years. Pat grew up in Hatboro as the oldest of six children and graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in 1962. Pat and Lou married in 1967 and spent their early life together in Danvers, MA. They later settled in Cherry Hill, NJ, to raise their young family over the next 25 years before moving to Doylestown. Pat enjoyed an established career as a legal secretary and later as an executive administrative assistant to the CFO and corporate counsel at O’Brien Energy, Philadelphia.

In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by her children Joseph L. Simmers and wife Patricia, of Yardley, Brian M. Simmers, of Warrington, and Thomas P. Simmers and wife Christine, of Audubon; brother Joseph J. Janos, Jr. and wife Cathy of Hellertown; sisters Kathy Carter and husband Dennis, of Cape May, NJ, Maureen Peruzzi and late husband Robert, of Gwynedd, Terry Heston and husband Gary, of Little Meadows, and Carol Urbanski and husband Bob, of Mooresville, NC; and grandchildren Abigail, Carissa, Liam, Lucinda, and Thomas. Pat is lovingly remembered by many special nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to join Patricia’s family at her visitation on Monday, June 6, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM, followed by Words of Remembrance before her 12:00 PM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA, 18966. Interment will be held privately.
