Barbara Wiley (Cornell)

Barbara C. Wiley, of Warminster, formerly of Churchville, died peacefully on Monday May 23, 2022.  She was 90 years young.

Born in Churchville she was the beloved wife of the late Albert Wiley Jr. for more than 60 years.  Daughter of the late Hogeland B. Cornell and Genevieve George Cornell, sister and sister-in-law of the late William and Catherine Cornell and Donald Cornell and mother-in-law of the late Douglas Bracher.

Barbara, an eighteen-year resident, treasured her Ann's Choice home and community.  While developing many close friendships over the years, Barbara loved playing cards, scrabble, bocce and shuffleboard.  She sought out opportunities to meet new residents by being an Ann's Choice Ambassador, volunteering in the Treasure Chest and cubby stuffing.  She loved treating family and friends to lunch and dinner in the beautiful dining rooms and hosting Christmas Eve dinner at Ann's Choice for her family, which became a yearly tradition.  Celebrating birthdays and holidays with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, gave her the most joy. Barbara was a dedicated and active member of Northampton Presbyterian Church for more than fifty years.

Barbara is survived by her three devoted daughters, Sandra Bracher, Beverly Wiley and Karen Tomlinson (James).  She was the loving grandmother to seven grandchildren, Claire Philips (Christopher), Robyn Blankenhagen (John), Jill Spern (Kevin), Blair Hunter (Brian), Stephen Ferrara, Michael Seder Jr. (Aishling) and Amy Ruch (Jason).  Also surviving are her ten adored great grandchildren and her sister-in-law Patricia Cornell.
