Karen D. Bennett (Dalton)

Karen Bennett of Southampton, PA, formerly of Churchville, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Sunday, May 29, 2022.  She was 52.

Born in Abington, PA and raised in Churchville, Karen was the daughter of Robert P. and Carol Ann Navardauskas Dalton.

Karen attended St. Bede the Venerable Church School and Villa Joseph Marie High School.  Karen furthered her education in preparation for a career she went on to love at West Chester University.  After graduating with a degree in Education, Karen was offered a position at Log College Middle School in Warminster.  She enjoyed a tenure that lasted nearly 30 years during which she brightened the lives of countless students. Karen’s care, concern and friendship endeared her to the faculty. 

Karen enjoyed trips with family and friends to North Wildwood, planning and hosting parties, shopping, but above all, Karen cherished the time she spent with her beloved family.  Karen will be greatly missed, but eternally loved and remembered by everyone who has had the pleasure to have been in her life and loved by her. 

Karen is survived by her parents, Robert and Carol Ann, and her husband, William Bennett, of 23 years. As well as her daughter Melanie Bennett of Southampton, her step-daughter Jenna Wurz and her husband Anthony Wurz of Philadelphia, her grandson Anthony Jr.  Karen was preceded in death by her stepson, Stephen Bennett.

Karen is also survived by her brother Robert Dalton and his wife Rachel, as well as Joann & Fredrick Firmani, Marie & Michael Netterville, Eileen & Gregory Scoles, Margaret and the late Robert Dittes, Elizabeth & Christopher Rihl, the late Robert & Martha Bennett, Patricia & Joseph Zimmardi, and David & Yvonne Bennett. Additionally, Karen was loved by so many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday evening, June 17, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Saturday morning, June 18, 2022, from 9:00-10:00 AM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.   Her funeral mass will take place at 11:00 AM in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966 followed by her internment at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA  90266 or to the Special Olympics Pennsylvania, 2900 Southampton Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154.
