Francis X. Jardel

Francis X Jardel, of Newtown, PA, died on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Abington. He was 89 years old.

Francis was a devoted husband to the late Elizabeth Price Jardel before her death in 2012. Frank and Betty shared a love of learning and were committed educators.  One of his proudest accomplishments was coaching several awarding winning debate teams, and it could be said that Frank never met an argument he didn’t like.

Born the only son of the late Francis and Barbara Oberdin Jardel, he was raised in Philadelphia with his sister, Barbara Jardel McCormick.  He will be missed most especially by his nieces, Janine McCormick Molinaro and Katherine Price Foulkes.

A private committal service, with military honors, will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation at 129 South 9th Street in Philadelphia, PA 19107.
