Paul J. Cell

Paul J. Cell, 75, of Churchville, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy “Dolly” (Stebner) Cell for 53 years.

Born December 16, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late John and Clara (Parker) Cell. He was raised in Philadelphia, attending Frankford High School where he met Dolly his future wife, in Choir. After High School, he attended Hussian School of Art, where he received his degree in Art. Paul and Dolly lovingly married on May 10, 1969.  Paul worked for Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO) for almost 30 years, also working multiple other jobs to help establish their young family. He began his career at PECO as an Electrical Meter Reader, before transitioning to the Exhibits and Display Shop. He spent his final career years in the job he loved the most as ‘Eddy’ from the Reddy and Eddy Safety Show; teaching elementary school children around the Philadelphia area about the Hazards of Electricity.

In retirement, Paul enjoyed helping out family and friends with various building projects. He loved spending time with his family, all the while Paul and Dolly were always by each other’s side. He loved being a Dad and a Grandpa, always letting his family know how proud he was of them.

Along with his wife, Dolly; Paul is survived by his three sons, Paul Cell of Newtown, PA; David Cell (Meghan) of Doylestown PA; and Daniel Cell of Leonardtown, MD; eight grandchildren, Katelyn (Darren), Shane, Johnathan, Daniel, Connor, Andrew, Audrey, and Madeline, his son-in-law, Matthew Minnichbach of Warrington PA; his sister, Beverly Gebeline (Paul); and many nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Minnichbach; and his sister and brother, Nancy Cell and the Rev. Canon, John A. Cell.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church, 820 Almshouse Road, Ivyland PA, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville PA.
