Ralph G. Myers

Ralph G. Myers, of Doylestown, PA died on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Pine Run Healthcare, Doylestown. He was 97.

He was the husband of the late Hazel Bowen Myers.

Born in Doylestown, he was the son of the late Arlington F. and Stella H. Gross Myers.

Ralph was a veteran of the Second World War and was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries he sustained near Schmidt Germany on November 12, 1944.  After his military service, he returned to Doylestown and worked in several family businesses including Pennsylvania Frosted Foods in Southampton, PA.  He then obtained his real estate and insurance licenses and began his career working for his uncle at the Myers and Gillis Insurance Agency in Doylestown, PA.  In 1968, he purchased The Franklin Agency in Furlong, PA to open his own Insurance business.  He retired in 1977 and spent his time gardening, fishing and caring for his beloved golden retrievers.  Ralph also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren at the holidays and for family parties.

He is survived by his son, Richard G. Myers and his wife, Mary Jane, of Furlong, daughter, Linda M. Weikert of Quakertown, and his brother Robert Myers of Boyertown, PA.  He is also survived by his four grandchildren; Christine Weikert and her partner Matthew Martin of Glenburn, ME, Patricia Jones and her husband, Neil of Bangor, ME, Adam Weikert and his wife Kelly of Perkiomenville, PA, Lisa Weikert and her husband Ryan Kratz of Sellersville, and his three great-grandchildren; Simon Jones, Meadow Weikert and Adam Weikert. He was predeceased by his two sisters; Jean Overholt and Frances Tyson.

Interment was held privately in St. Stephen's UCC Cemetery, Perkasie.
