George W. Premaza

George W. Premaza, 82, of Warminster, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Gould) Premaza.

Born December 6, 1939 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Helen M. (Lakatosh) Premaza.

George grew up in Philadelphia where he went to North Catholic High School. After high school he started out as a short order cook then went on to become an apprentice meat cutter for A&P. He worked his way up to meat manager at A&P and O&O then worked at Giant Supermarket before retiring

George enjoyed getting together with friends and family. He went on many vacations with friends. He loved his time with the Boy Scouts where he went on many camping trips, the highlight being the trip to the Grand Canyon which he loved and talked about many times. He especially loved his time fishing with Chris and his best friend Joe. George loved camping trips with his friends as long as it involved fishing. He loved dinner get togethers with some of the Boy Scout group in later years.

George was extremely handy. He could fix almost anything or at least try. He built our patio, his shed, many large bird houses, and our pond.

One of his favorite hobbies was our pond. It kept him busy and and he enjoyed watching the fish. He was also an avid walker in later years. He would walk 3-5 miles a day at many of our local parks.

George was a devoted and loving husband of 55 years. He loved being a father to Chris and Andy and a PopPop to Liam and Henry and a step PopPop to Vanessa and Mike.  He was also a great friend. George will be missed terribly.

Along with his wife, Barbara, George is survived by two sons, Christopher Premaza and his wife Rose and Andrew Premaza and his wife Suzi; four grandchildren, Vanessa, Mike, Liam, and Henry; a brother, Bobby Premaza; a sister-in-law, Althea Premaza; and a brother-in-law, John Phillips.

George was preceded in death by eight siblings, Andy, Bill, Joseph, Eddie, Jimmy, Steve, Dolores, and Theresa.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family July 7, 2022 from 10:00 am until the memorial service and 11:00 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro. Interment will be held privately.
