William A. Szlanic Jr.

William Alvin Szlanic Jr. passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at his home, Mercer Hill, where he had recently relocated with his wife Barbara. He was 74 years old.

Born May 24, 1948, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William A. Sr. and Sophie Sullivan Szlanic, and husband of Barbara Mary Renzi Szlanic, to whom he was married 53 years.  He was known fondly as Joggi or Jog to his family.

Jog worked very hard to provide for his family, whom he cherished dearly.  He worked doing home renovations for much of his adult life, and his beautiful work lives on at the home he shared with his wife and kids.  Every wall, floor, step, and window was beautified by William and Barbara.  He even used stone which was blasted from his dear neighbor, Duane Weller’s rocks, rocks the size of a car in some instances, to make stone walls both inside and outside his home.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by: children Willam A. Szlanic, III and his partner Rosie Woods of San Francisco; Raquel M. Tomaine and her husband Scott, of Chalfont, and grandchildren Evan and Bryn Tomaine.

Services and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please honor William’s memory by having a drink with your loved ones.  Please hug them a little tighter today and every day.
